Now is your chance! Bay Batucada is thrilled to announce our next 2026 Beginner’s Workshop.

Whether you think you have zero rhythm or you’re a closet air-drummer, this 8-week course is designed to take you from the very basics to playing high-energy Brazilian-style percussion in our music group.

Join a vibrant community, shake off some mid-week stress, and learn to play the loud, infectious rhythms of samba.

• Starts: Wednesday, 17 June 2026

• Duration: 8 weeks (every Wednesday)

• Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm

• Location: Pacific Surf Lifesaving Club, Marine Parade, Napier

• Cost: $60

• No experience required. We start from scratch. If you can count to four, you can join the band!
